Angie Zupan, an old friend of mine is the owner and mastermind behind Orange. Its a very hip vintage home decor store in Los Angeles. She has very sophisticated taste and really just gets it. Murano glass and lamps, Pompidou Desk Chairs, Random Vintage goods from George Nelson, Florence Knoll, Paul McCobb,Vladimir Kagan, and Jaques Adnet that are impossible to find. This is definitely for place for the interior designer or a celebrity that has just made their first million.

LONDON ARTIST

Israeli born artist Talia Lehavi is a cross-disciplinary painter whose work revolves around nature using textured paintings and layered monotype prints. Talia has been teaching classes in Japanese brush technique for the past ten years in museums in Israel and London, as well as in colleges and artists' workshops. She has exhibited both alone and in group shows in established galleries and art fairs around the world. Her work can be found at Guy's Hospital in London, the Agam collection in Paris, and in numerous private collections in Europe, the US and Japan. Check her out!

A friend of mine, Lizzie Garrett, has the coolest blog to check on high design items and just interesting random finds that she likes. She is a pretty young thing, with the taste of an interior designer. I find her facinating, as she is only 23, but has the talent and gift for picking hot items as well as the features editor at Domino or NY magazine. I have purchased many items suggested on Designwatcher.com...you should check it out.

HATS OFF TO ROSY

Rosy Naylor is an Edinburgh based designer. She established her label 'hatform' in 2003 which is receiving international regcognition. Originally studying sculpture before applying her skill to millinery, rosy brings an artistic context to her work.
I like the series called Buckle and Crunchy...but check it out. Very unusal but wearable.

GOOD EATS WITH NO MEATS

A friend of mine, Jenny Goldberg, is a fantastic Vegan/Vegetarian/Microbiotic chef for hire. She just started her own buisness in LA being a personal chef or just making daily lunches or dinners to be delivered.
Check out her website. She is a cool, young hipster, but she cooks like she could rub shoulder's with Alice Waters or Suzanne Goin. Good ingredients, and lots of love in her food...you can taste it. Really yummy desserts! GREAT gift for a vegetarian friend.

Eveline Pad is a young illustrator that I discovered on a blog in Australia. She resides in Melborne, and takes comissioned work and sells her amazing illustrations. I LOVE THIS GIRLS WORK.
